ALLIANCE - Wilmer M. ""Bill"" Randles Jr., 79, of Alliance, died at 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 5, 2007, at Aultman Hospital. He was born July 18, 1927, in Dresden, to Wilmer R. and Lorena Mitchell Randles. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and enjoyed golf and word search puzzles. He worked at Homeworth Sales and Service after retiring in 1978 from Randles Gulf Station. Survivors include one son, Richard Randles of Alliance; two grandchildren, Timothy Randles and Angelica Ackerman of Alliance; sisters, Margaret Hardy of Dresden, Roselda Gibbs of Austin, Texas, Gail Waugh of Peoria Ariz., Jane Halouska of Alliance, June Bay of Bradenton, Fla.; brother, Raleigh Randles of Arp, Texas; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary L. Dusenberry Randles, whom he married July 11, 1946 and who died Sept. 17, 2004; sisters, Lucille Bice, Laverne Melvin and Eunice Waugh; and brothers Charles, Merle and Theodore Randles. Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 8, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 9, at Vensil-Orr and Chute Funeral Home, Dresden, with visitation two hours prior to the service. Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, Alliance, Ohio.
