FRAZEYSBURG ? Wilma L. Stokes, 85, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died at 4:08am Sunday, December 10, 2006 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville, Ohio. Born January 21, 1921 in Zanesville, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Emma (Speed) Tanner. Mrs. Stokes was a homemaker and a former employee of Mosaic Tile Company of Zanesville. She was a member of the Dresden First Baptist Church. Surviving is two daughters, Sandy (Bill) Goslin of Thornville, Ohio and Debbie (Wesley) Denman of Nashport, Ohio; three sons, Al (Gale) Mox of Dresden, Allen (Robin) Mox of Newark, Ohio and Jeff (Tammy) Mox of New Lexington, Ohio; a sister, Frances Ellis of Chillicothe, Ohio; twenty-eight grandchildren; many great grandchildren and an expectant great granddaughter. She is also survived by four step-children, Beverly (Dave) McGovern of Cambridge, Ohio, Jack (Patty) Stokes and Kenny Stokes, both of Frazeysburg and Dave Stokes of Newark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Paul Mox; her second husband, Kenneth M. Stokes; a daughter, Karen Mox Williams Nethers; an infant son, Robert Lawson Mox; two brothers and two sisters. Calling hours will be one hour prior to the funeral service, which will be 1:00pm Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with the Pastors Andrew Dennis and Bert Kinsey officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, Adamsville, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dresden First Baptist Church, Post Office Box 501, Dresden, Ohio 43821.
