William F. Untied, 91, of Trinway, died Thursday morning, May 23, 2024, at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House.

Born January 19, 1933, in Muskingum County to the late Myrl E. and Isabelle "Dolly" (Wagner) Untied and a 1952 graduate of Jefferson High School. William was a United States Army Veteran and retired from the Coshocton Power Plant.  He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church and the Masonic Lodge.  William enjoyed gardening with his family and teaching them how to hunt everything from ginseng, mushrooms, arrowheads to deer and turkey.

Surviving are his three children, Margaret Medbery, Billy Untied and Tony (Debbie Eltringham) Untied; three grandchildren, Bethany, AJ and Kariston; three great grandchildren, Evie, Zoee and Zara; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Thomsen.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice E. Untied, who died Jan. 1, 1988; a daughter, Mary Untied and nine siblings.

A graveside service will be held at Dresden Cemetery at a later date.
