Obituary
NEWARK: A funeral service for William E. â??Billâ? Tritt, 69 of Newark will be 10:00 a.m. Friday May 7, 2010 at the Family of Faith Community Church, 975 Mt. Vernon Road, Newark with Pastor Curtis Martin, officiating. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery.
Mr. Tritt died Monday, May 3, 2010 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. He was born November 13, 1940 in Cambridge, Ohio to the late Earl K. Tritt and Ruth G. (Shaw) Tritt of Zanesville. He graduated from Cambridge High School and attended Muskingum College. He had worked for Owens-Corning at the Tech Center as a senior lab technician.
A member of the Family of Faith Community Church, Mr. Tritt was active in the communion ministry for 20 years and in the childrenâ??s ministry for 15 years. He loved children, and children loved him. His passions included classical music and aviation.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Tritt is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy (Guiler) Tritt; two children, Amy (John) Bowyer, and Christopher (Heather) Tritt, both of Newark; grandchildren, Aaron, Justin, Ellie and Evan Tritt, Noah, Quin, and Grace Bowyer; and a sister, Mary (Terry) Harmon of Zanesville.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2010 at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 West Main Street, Newark.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Family of Faith Community Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
