A funeral service for William T. ?Tom? Spinks, 72 of Hebron will be held at the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Homes on Wednesday March 28, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Richard Burgie officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Licking County Veterans Alliance. Mr. Spinks died Saturday March 24, 2007 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. Mr. Spinks was born December 11, 1934 in Zanesville, Ohio. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Annette (Parry) Spinks, whom he married December 23, 1956; daughter, Vicky (Dave) Lusetti of Frazeysburg; sons, Tom Spinks of Columbus, Bernie (Rhonda) Spinks of Newark; seven grandchildren, Ashley and Jennifer Lusetti, Emily, Abbey, Cameron, Madison and Hunter Spinks; brother, Fred (Nancy) Killian of Philo; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Spinks especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a retired over the road truck driver. He was a member and past master at Newark Lodge # 97 F & AM, a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Columbus Valley, St. Lukes Commandery # 34 of Newark, Bigelow Council # 7 and Warren Chapter # 6. He attended Zanesville Lash High School. He enjoyed repairing small engines and NASCAR racing. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Spinks was preceded in death by his mother Mary T. (Sidwell) Killian. Calling hours will be observed Wednesday 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home 1850 West Main Street. Masonic services will be held on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
