William J. Prince, 73, of Newark, formerly of Dresden, died at 10:45PM Saturday August 25, 2007 at the Heath Nursing Care Center. Mr. Prince was born February 4, 1934 in Dresden, a son of the late John O. & Alice M. (Skinner) Prince. He was a 1952 graduate of Jefferson High School and had worked at Halliburton for over 30 years and had also worked in the circulation department of The Advocate in Newark. Surviving are his children, Valerie (Mitch) Mitchell of Dresden, Candie Prince of Zanesville, Jeff Prince of Dresden; grandchildren Ashley Mitchell, Sara Prince and Ali Prince; brothers, Edmond (Toni) Prince of Dresden, Gene (Charlene) Prince of Trinway, Richard (Martha) Prince of Trinway, Paul (Daune Rita) Prince of Dresden, Dale (Patty) Prince of Dresden; sisters, Martha Lear of Dresden, Dorothy (David) Summers of Dresden; the mother of his children, Patty Prince of Dresden and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Louise Prince, two nephews, Greg Prince and Ronnie Baker and a brother in law, Roger Lear. Friends may call from 10AM-11AM Tuesday August 28, 2007 at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home in Dresden. A graveside service will follow at 11AM in the Dresden Cemetery with Pastor Ricci Arthur officiating.
