Obituary

William E. Leggett, 81, of Dresden, died at 12:30PM Saturday November 16, 2002, at Adams Lane Care Center. Mr. Leggett was born November 13, 1921, a son of the late Edward Martin and Mary Catherine (Steffle) Leggett. An Army veteran of WWII, he was a member of the American Legion Post #399 in Dresden and a former member of the Salvation Army, where he had played several instruments in the band. Mr. Leggett had retired from Goodwill Industries in Canton. He is survived by his wife, Janice Lowe Leggett, a son Donald E. Leggett; a cousin, Janet Malonosk and family of Columbus, Indiana; three step daughters, Nancy (Mark) Dibari of Dresden, Robin (Scott) Bates of Midlothian, Texas, Veda Adkins of Dresden; seven step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren. Two infant daughters, Elsie and Mary Belle Leggett, one brother and one sister preceded him in death. Memorial services will be held at a later date. The Vensil&Orr Funeral Home in Dresden is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 515 Putnam Ave., Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
