A celebration of life service for William Kagle, Jr., 83 of Heath will be held at a later date.

Mr. Kagle passed away Saturday January 7, 2023 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio.

Mr. Kagle was born April 5, 1939 in Saint Marys, West Virginia to William and Charlene (Cunningham) Kagle, Sr.

He retired in 1992 from inertial guidance engineering at the Newark Air Force Base.  He had also been employed as an apiary inspector for the Ohio Department of Agriculture. He had served 22 years with Franklin Township much of that time as a trustee. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Era, serving in the USAF as a mechanic. He had many friends in the Amish communities that helped him with his beehives. He enjoyed many aspects of the outdoors. He maintained his beehives, planted an apple orchard and would look forward to deer and raccoon season. His family was his first priority, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by two sons, William J. "Bill" Kagle of St. Louisville, Donald K. "Don" Kagle of Stuart, FL; grandchildren, Benjamin Kagle and Chelsea (Jonathon) Sims of the Newark area; great-grandchildren, Nova Kagle, Madison Sims; sisters, Debra and Jean; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death a brother Merle "Bub" Kagle and sister, Judy Gomez.
