Obituary

William B. Cox, 89, of Adams Mills, Ohio died Sunday morning, March 27, 2016 at his home.
Born November 22, 1926 in Conesville, Ohio he was a son of the late William V. and Nellie B. (Roberts) Cox and was a 1944 graduate of Dresden Jefferson High School. Mr. Cox was a Navy veteran of World War II and he retired in 1989 from Cyclops Corporation after 30 years of services. He was a member of Conesville United Methodist Church, Dresden Lodge #103, F. & A. M. and was a Shriner. He was a lifelong lover of guns and shooting activities. He also enjoyed woodworking and in later years he loved to sail, especially in the Chesapeake Bay.
Surviving is his loving wife of nearly 68 years, Imogene R. (Benner) Cox whom he married August 8, 1948; two sons, Steven (Mary) Cox of Adams Mills and William (Ginny) Cox of Bradford, Ohio; a daughter, Cathy Cox of Adams Mills; two grandchildren, Nathan Cox and Ashley Neumaier; a great grandson Leland Neumaier and a special family friend, Delbra Hughes of Coshocton.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Marjean Johnson.
Calling hours will be 5pm to 7pm Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street. Masonic services will be at 4:45pm Thursday, just prior to the calling hours.
Funeral services will be 7:00pm Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the funeral home with Pastors Phillip and Karen Gibson officiating. Military honors will be presented following the funeral services.
