NEWARK ? Funeral services for William M. ?Bill? ?Butch? Hollister, Jr., 67, of Newark will be 1:00pm Monday, February 9, 2009 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Trudy Sebastian officiating. Burial will be in Newark Memorial Gardens. Mr. Hollister died Tuesday evening, February 3, 2009 at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born March 15, 1941 in Newark, he was the son of the late William M. & Betty L. (Nutter) Hollister, Sr. and was a 1962 graduate of Newark High School. Mr. Hollister was a former mechanic at Herb?s Sohio and was a truck driver for Newark Express. He was a member of the Ohio National Guard and he attended Emanuel Praise Church of Alexandria. Surviving is his wife, Dixie L. (Walters) Hollister, whom he married June 5, 1965; two daughters, Lisa (Rick) Rizer of Newark and Theresa (Mike) Brown of Columbus; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Hoffer and Andrew Rizer; a great grandson, Xander Pennington; two brothers, Joe (Suzanne) Hollister and J. C. Willard, both of Newark; two sisters, Nancy Humphries of Newark and Mayme (Bill) Clinkenbeard of Florida; his step mother, Julie Hollister of Newark; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Carl E. Willard and his grandmother, Mary Coffman. Calling hours will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
