Waynolae J. Norris, 96, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Wednesday afternoon, August 23, 2023 at Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville, Ohio.
Born November 17, 1926 in Frazeysburg she was a daughter of the late Carl W. and Nona V. (Kendall) Untied. Waynolae was a homemaker and she retired in 1986 from Tri-Valley Schools where she had been a cook at Nashport Elementary School for 20 years. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Dresden and she enjoyed reading and doing puzzles. Her greatest love was spending time with her family.
Surviving is one son, Jeff Norris of Nashport, Ohio; two daughters, Phyllis (Lawrence) Vensil of Dresden and Paula (Tony) Seckman of Nashport; eleven grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren and twenty-six great great grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother in-law, Wilbur Donley of Zanesville and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul C. Norris whom she married August 1, 1942 and who died March 23, 1987; a daughter in-law, Sheila Norris; two grandchildren, Kristine Norris and Scott Norris; a great great granddaughter, Raelynn Wolff; two brothers, Charles Untied and Gerald Untied and three sisters, Glaydes Harmon, Mildred Nemeth and Illona Williams.
Calling hours will be 3pm to 6pm Saturday, August 26, 2023 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Sunday, August 27, 2023 at the funeral home with Father Martin J. Ralko officiating. Waynolae will be laid to rest beside her husband, Paul, at Branch Cemetery in Coshocton County.
