Obituary
Wayne L. Untied, 79, passed away on October 10, 2010 at Forest View Health Campus in Zanesville with members of his family present.
He was born January 4, 1931, a son of the late Merle and Isabelle (Wagner) Untied. Mr. Untied had been a supervisor at Wise Foundry in Zanesville and had retired from the Longaberger Company where he had been a supervisor in the handle department.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, M. Colette Untied, two sons, John (Bonnie) Untied of Coshocton, Doug (Katie) Untied of Frazeysburg, two daughters, Margaret Blair of Zanesville, Dianna (Rob) Ellis of Lancaster; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren,; 4 brothers, Merle (Charlotte) Untied of Zanesville, William Untied of Trinway, Donald and Rolland Untied both of Frazeysburg, one sister, Mary Funderburgh of Springfield.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three infant children, Mary Beth, Gregory Leonard and Catherine Ruth; a sister, Margaret Smythe; three brothers, Everett, Richard and Charles Untied; two great grandsons, Zachary Hamilton and Dustin Brown.
Friends and family may call 4-7PM Wednesday October 13, 2010 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10:30AM at St. Ann Catholic Church with Father Jack Maynard celebrant. Burial will follow in the Dresden Cemetery.
A Wake Service will be held at 7PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
