A funeral service for Wayne Steffee, 61 of Newark will be held Friday December 29, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the Spring Hills Baptist Church. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery.Mr. Steffee died Friday December 22, 2006 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. He was born March 17, 1945 in Coshocton, Ohio to the late John E. and Mildred (Mikesell) Steffee.Mr. Steffee was employed many years in the maintenance department of Constar Plastics. He was a former member of the Ohio National Guard at Coshocton. He was Baptist by faith and attended services in Newark and Englewood, Florida with his family.He is survived by his wife of 40 years Sandra ?Sandy? (Sentivany) Steffee, whom he married May 21, 1966; four children, Michael W. Steffee of Lancaster, Angela (Brian) Shaffer of Canal Winchester, Anthony ?Tony? (Shauna) Steffee of Van Wert, Tonya Steffee of Englewood, FL.; sister, Glynetta ""Polly"" Gildow of Coshocton; brothers, Glenn (Ruth) Steffee of Newark, Francis (Shirley) Steffee of Dresden; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Calling hours will be observed Thursday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Spring Hills Baptist Church, 1820 Newark-Granville Road, Granville, Ohio.The Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 West Main Street, has been entrusted with arrangements.
