Wayne E. Park, 79 of Frazeysburg died Saturday morning, August 17, 2013 at his residence.

He was born December 22, 1933 in Trinway, Ohio to the late Earl W. and Bertha Mae (Atwood) Park. Wayne retired in 1977 from Owens Corning Fiberglas. He had served in the U. S. Army. He was a charter member of the Dresden Nazarene Church, having helped dig the foundation to the church in 1943 at the age of 10. He has served in many capacities at the church over his lifetime.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Judy A. (Phillips) Park; children, Michael (Debbie) Park of Nashport, Mark (Diane) Park of Adams Mills, Max Park of Frazeysburg, Michelle (Scott) Sheets of Frazeysburg; six grandchildren, Randy Park, Matthew Park, Kyle Smith, Devin Smith, Kelsi Sheets, Jayden Sheets, two great grandsons, Carson and Tyson; brother, Hubert (Mary) Park of Dayton; sister-in-laws, Betty Park of Decatur, IL, Carol Park of Dresden; special friends, Janet (Kent) Cline of Glouster and Lewis Barr of Dresden; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Glenn Park, Leonard Park and Norman Park.

Calling hours will be observed Tuesday, August 20, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Frazeysburg chapel of VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOMES 110 Third Street.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Gates officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
