A funeral service celebrating the life of Wayne F. Farnsworth, Sr., 91 of Newark will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 9, 2021 at the Church of God of Licking County, 2181 Riggs Road, Newark with Pastor Anthony Bartlette officiating. Burial will be in Newark Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Farnsworth passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 5, 1930 in Morgan County, Ohio to the late Herman L. and Nellie Leota (Roberts) Farnsworth. Mr. Farnsworth owned and operated Farnsworth Vending Machine Company. He was a member of Aerospace Lodge # 800 F&A.M., a past president of the Licking County Braille Association and the Ohio Blind Bowlers Association.

Survivors include his son, Wayne F. (Patricia L.) Farnsworth, Jr.; grandchildren, Jerry (Sara) Price, Jr., Wayne F. (Sarah) Farnsworth, III., Brad D. (Brooke) Farnsworth, Nicholas P. (Laura) Farnsworth; great-grandchildren, McKenzi, Alexandra, Hannah, Brinley, Ethan, Bristol, Brady, Bryce, Abigail, Nicholas, Jr., Landon, Alayah, Serenity and Trinity; a niece, Diane Farnsworth; and nephews, Dan and Christopher Farnsworth.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Katherine A. Farnsworth, March 24, 2019; a daughter, Sandra A. Farnsworth; and a brother, Keith Farnsworth.

Friends may call 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 West Main St., Newark.  Aerospace Lodge #800 will conduct Masonic services at 4:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
