Wanda V. Haines, 90, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Monday morning, May 6, 2013 at her home.
Born February 21, 1923 in Bucyrus, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Jacob E. Barger and Wanda B. (Moore) Lipsey Barger. She was a homemaker and she retired in 1986 from J. C. Penny's after 13 years of service. Wanda was a member of the Frazeysburg Presbyterian Church and was a former member and past matron of both the Frazeysburg and Dresden Order of Eastern Star. She was an avid and active animal lover.
Surviving are two sons, George Robert Haines and Edward D. Haines both of Frazeysburg; one daughter, Nancy Haines of Albany, Ohio; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Linda (John) Beck of Algonquin, Illinois and her dog and five cats.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George C. Haines whom she married December 18, 1946 and who died August 3, 1985; a daughter, Patricia J. Haines; a brother, James A. Lipsey and a sister, Lulu M. Forwith.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8pm Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at the funeral home with the Rev. James Story officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
