Wanda Jean Dailey, 82, of Nashport, Ohio died Saturday afternoon, July 27, 2013 at Genesis Morrison House Hospice.
Born July 16, 1931 in Stockport, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Clifford and Garnet M. (Wallace) Calendine. Mrs. Dailey worked at the David Davies Meat Packing Company of Zanesville until it closed and then went to work at Essex Wire until her retirement. She enjoyed doing puzzles, cooking for her family and caring for her flowers. Wanda was a member of Woodlawn Church of Christ and loved attending church. Her greatest enjoyment was being with her family.
Surviving are three sons, Larry E. (Suzanne) Dailey, Neal E. (Sheila) Dailey and Dale Douglas Dailey, all of Nashport; a daughter, Anita (David) Lomenick of Healdton, Oklahoma; a sister, Shirley (Russell) Woodrow of Dresden; a brother, Myron (Judy) Calendine of Gratiot, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Stacy (Ted) Welch, Carl (Kristin) Lomenick, Brad (Crystal) Dailey, Duke (Keri) Dailey, Evan (Lewella) Lomenick, Douglas Aaron Dailey, Megan Dailey and Ryan Dailey; eight great grandchildren, Kamern Welch, Lane Dailey, Bela Lomenick, Blake Archibald, Gabe Lomenick, Ella Lomenick, Sierra Dailey and Esther Lomenick. Also surviving are her life-long friends, Lewella "Lollie" Dennis and Mary Nauer.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Dailey whom she married September 25, 1948 and who died March 17, 1992; a brother and sister in-law, Burl and Camilla Calendine and a nephew, Bill Calendine.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8pm Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Graveside funeral services will be at 10:30am Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Irville Cemetery, Creamery Road at State Route 146.
