Obituary

Walter E. Brookover, 95, of Toboso, Ohio died Thursday afternoon, April 25, 2013 at the Inn at Sharonbrooke in Newark, Ohio.
Born April 15, 1918 in Pleasant Valley, Ohio he was the son of the late George and Alice Brookover and was a graduate of Nashport High School. Mr. Brookover was retired from the shipping department of Owens-Corning Fiberglas of Newark where he had 45 years of services. He was a member of the Toboso United Methodist Church, Licking Valley Lions Club where he was a past president and past secretary, New Home Lodge #338, F. & A. M. where he was a past master and past secretary and a member of the Licking Valley Activities Club.
Surviving is his wife of over 72 years, Letha (Miller) Brookover whom he married December 8, 1940; two grandchildren, Ashley (C. J.) Michaleski of Westerville, Ohio and Drew Brookover of Newark; a brother in-law and sister in-law, Ronald and Betty Miller of Frazeysburg and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Dennis Edward Brookover who died August 16, 2012.
Calling hours will be 4pm to 7pm Sunday, April 28, 2013 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street. New Home Lodge will conduct Masonic services at 7:00pm Sunday at the funeral home and Licking Valley Lions Club will conduct Lions services at 7:30pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 10:30am Monday, April 29, 2013 at the funeral home with the Rev. Dean Cole officiating. Burial will be in Hanover Cemetery.
