W. Dean Holdsworth, 76, of Conesville, died at 5:40PM Wednesday March 26, 2008 at Riverside Methodist Hospital following a two and half month illness. Mr. Holdsworth was born in Virginia Township, Coshocton County, September 15, 1931, a son of the late August and Nellie (Ramsey) Holdsworth. He had a life long passion for farming and had worked at the flour mill in Roscoe, Hunt-Crawford Co. and had retired from Shaw-Barton in Coshocton. Mr. Holdsworth was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Dresden where he had been a deacon and trustee and was a member of the NRA and enjoyed camping with his family. Surviving are his wife, Joan (Tumblin) Holdsworth; his children, Barbara (Larry) Albertson of Conesville, Paul (Heather) Holdsworth of Zanesville, Andy Holdsworth of Conesville; grandchildren, Michelle (Tom) McPeck of Adamsville, Misty Northup of Norwich, Brian (Tina) Albertson of Conesville, Rusty (Danielle) Holdsworth of Coshocton, Robbie Holdsworth of Conesville, Nikki (Joe) Keffer of Fresno, Paul, Jr., Erin, Tharon, Olivia, Patrick, Joseph, and Daniel Holdsworth all of Zanesville, Mindy (Brent) Shrimplin of Coshocton, Ashley (Derric) Matz of Trinway, Andre Holdsworth of Virginia, Taylor Tatro of Fresno; 17 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; sisters, Glenna Adams and Gladys Dobson both of Trinway; brother James (Hazel) Holdsworth of Coshocton, brother in law, Everett Hutchison of Trinway and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Donald Holdsworth, daughter Nancy Northrup, brother, Paul Holdsworth and a sister Agnes Hutchison. Friends may call 5-9PM Sunday March 30, 2008 at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home in Dresden. A funeral service will be held at 11AM Monday at First Baptist Church in Dresden with Pastor Andrew Dennis officiating. Burial will follow in Coshocton County Memory Gardens.
