Virginia Roosa, 78, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Saturday evening, November 5, 2011 at her home after a brief illness.
Born November 25, 1932 in the Bronx, New York she was the daughter of the late John C. and Katherine (Eichner) DeYoung and was a home maker. Before moving to Frazeysburg she worked as a dietician at St. Luke's Hospital in Newburgh, New York. She enjoyed the outdoors and gardening and she also loved to do knitting, needlework and paintings.
Surviving are two sons, Robert R. Roosa of Hebron, Ohio and Clinton (Linda) Roosa of Monroe, New York; a daughter, Deborah (Mike) Ippolito of Caddomills, Texas; ten grandchildren, Richard (Debbie) Roosa, Jr., Scott Roosa, April (Don) Cox, Clinton Jesse Roosa, Curtis (Sharon) Ippolito, Alisha Ippolito, Eric Ippolito, Arielle Ippolito, Ryan Roosa and Sara Roosa; eight great grandchildren, Amber Roosa, Haleigh Roosa, Richard Roosa, III, Scott Roosa, Isaac Roosa, Karla Roosa, Samantha Roosa and Destiny Isabell Roosa and one great great grandchild, Jason Olsen.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Richard R. Roosa and a brother, John DeYoung.
There will be no calling hours or funeral service.
