Virginia L. "Ginny Lou" Wilcox, 74, of Dresden, Ohio died Monday evening, February 9, 2015 at Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville.
Born October 8, 1940 in Dresden she was a daughter of the late John Wendell and Bonnie Jean (Gist) Longaberger and was a 1958 graduate of Dresden Jefferson High School. She was a member of the Dresden United Methodist Church and she retired in 1999 from The Longaberger Company.
Surviving is a son, Craig R. Wilcox of Dresden; a daughter, Jo Lynn (Jeffrey) Putt of Nashport; three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also surviving are three sisters, Wendy (Robert) Little, Mary Ann (Wendell) McCafferty and Carmen (Ron) Fortney, all of Dresden; five brothers, Larry Longaberger of Hanover, Ohio, Richard (Joan) Longaberger, Gary (Lynn) Longaberger and Jeff (Jane) Longaberger all of Dresden; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Richard E. Wilcox whom she married May 8, 1959 and who died January 19, 1999; two sisters, Genevieve Hard and Judy Swope and a brother David Longaberger.
There will be no calling hours.
A Celebration of Life for Ginny Lou will be from 1pm to 5pm Sunday, February 15, 2015 at the Dresden American Legion Post #399, 1384 Main Street, Dresden, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made the charity of one's choice.
