Virginia Hall

Mary Virginia Hall, 91, of Newark, Ohio gained her angel wings Tuesday afternoon, August 11, 2026, peacefully at her home surrounded by family.

Born November 29, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Carey E. and Mary E. (Lake) Nethers and a 1953 graduate of Utica High School. Virginia was an LPN for Interim Health and a member of the O.E.S. Newark Chapter #305. She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed collecting dolls. What Virginia loved the most was her family, especially spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Surviving is her daughter, Becky Johnson; three sons, Dr. Greg L. (Michelle) Hall, Steven K. Hall, and Todd A. (MaryRose) Hall; seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; her two special canine companions, Buddy and Ginger and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Hall whom she married October 14, 1956, and who died May 8, 2005. Her son, Gary M. Hall; her sister, Frances Beond and three brothers, James F. Nethers, Foster Nethers and Joseph Nethers are deceased. She was also preceded in death by her son in law Ricky L Hewitt and a very special friend, Louise.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, August 21, 2026, at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil | Wagner | Marshall Funeral Home, 110 W. Third Street.

Virginia will be laid to rest beside her husband, Don, at Smith Chapel Cemetery.
