Obituary

Virginia C. "Ginny" King, 100 of Coshocton died Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the Walnut Grove Nursing Home.

She was born November 28, 1915 in Stringtown, north of Zanesville, to the late Richard and Anna Mary (Heagan) Ferrell.

She was a former resident of the Dresden and Adams Mills area. She was the last member of the 1933 graduating class of Dresden Jefferson High School. She was a former member of the Adams Mills Madison Presbyterian Church and served as treasurer for over 20 years and the Dresden Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Adams Mills Grange and served as secretary for over 25 years. She had also been employed by Essex Wire and enjoyed her life as a homemaker. She and her husband belonged to a card club for over 35 years with a special group of close friends.

She is survived by her children, Mary Lou Kilgore of Winter Garden, Florida, son, W. Richard (Karen) King of Conesville; brother, Charles Ferrell of Dresden; grandchildren, Lori (Steve) Bowman, Julie (Mark) Mikesell, Scott (Kristina) King, Tonya (Dave) Rearic, Doug (Amy) Kilgore, Todd (Lori) Kilgore; step-grandchildren, Howie Kilgore, Bruce Kilgore; great-grandchildren, Lindsay Stone, Stephen Bowman, Rochele Fowler, Daniele Beck, Schyler King, Kylee King, Kyle Todd, Kraig Todd, K.J. Scott, , Anna Kilgore, Samantha Kilgore, Ethan Kilgore, Nicholas Kilgore; nine step-great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; six step-great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, William Robert King, whom died on August 12, 1970. They married on February 25, 1935; infant children, Robert Dean King, Shirley Joan King; sisters, Anna Margaret Glass-Russell, Wanita Houston, Doris Johnson, Vivian Faulhaber; brother, Dalton Ferrell.

Calling hours will be observed Friday April 1, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dresden Chapel of VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME 714 Main Street.

Funeral service will be held Saturday April 2, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Gene Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.

The family request memorial contributions to the Dresden Presbyterian Church or your favorite charity. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
