Funeral services for Virginia Farmer, 93 of Mt. Perry will be held Tuesday November 28, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lutheran Reform Cemetery in Thornville.Mrs. Farmer died Saturday November 25, 2006 at the Flint Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born June 2, 1913 in Louisa, Ky. to the late Jay and Julie (Rice) Frazier. She was the last of thirteen children.Mrs. Farmer was a former member of St. Paul?s Lutheran Church and the last several years attended church with her family at Old Stone Church of Christ. Survivors include daughters, Rosemary (Gordon) Clippinger of Glenford, Shirley (Dave) Cooperrider of Thornville; son, Robert E. (Francis) Farmer of Marne; son-in-law, Lester Hamm of Springfield; twenty-two grandchildren; thirty-eight great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.Preceded in death by parents; husband, Howard A. Farmer in 1985; daughters, Carol Kennedy and Joan Hamm; a grandson, a granddaughter and two great grandsons.Calling hours will be observed Monday evening 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home 1850 West Main Street.Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio 2269 Cherry Valley Road SE Newark, Ohio 43055-9925.
