FRAZEYSBURG ? Graveside funeral services for Virginia J. Ashcraft, 91, of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, will be at 11:00am Friday, June 10, 2005 at Frazeysburg Cemetery with Rev. Ray Sunkel officiating. Mrs. Ashcraft died Monday evening, June 6, 2005 at Country Court Nursing Home in Mt. Vernon. Born April 2, 1914 in Frazeysburg, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Estella (Ricketts) Conner and was a graduate of Frazeysburg High School. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Christian Church and was a missionary of the church. Surviving is one daughter, Shirley Y. Ashcraft of Mt. Vernon; two sisters, Dolores (Paul) Blizzard of Sun City, Arizona and Nancy Fawcett of Newark, Ohio; two brothers, Brice (Eleanor) Conner of Hayward, Wisconsin and Ronnie (Connie) Conner of Zanesville, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Jesse Howard Ashcraft, whom she married August 20, 1936 and who died February 15, 2001; a sister, Bonnie Beeney; and two brothers, Beeman Conner and Dick Conner. Calling hours will be 5 to 8pm Thursday, June 9, 2005 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street, Frazeysburg.
