FRAZEYSBURG ? Violet L. Welsh, 93, formerly of Frazeysburg, died Wednesday evening, July 2, 2008 at Genesis Morrison House Hospice, Zanesville. Born February 21, 1915 in Zanesville, she was the daughter of the late Elvin W. and Iva J. (Mahew) Carrell and was a member of the Frazeysburg United Methodist Church. She love to crochet, was an avid reader and enjoyed working cross-word puzzles and shopping. Mrs. Welsh was a housewife and she work for 17 years as a press operator and The Ohio Plastics Company of Frazeysburg. Surviving are three daughters, Donna (Edwin) Saunders of Syracuse, New York, Marlene (Ted) Gentry of Zanesville and Marcie Smith of Zanesville; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don H. Welsh, whom she married September 5, 1936 and who died December 31, 1989; one brother and one grandchild. Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Monday, July 7, 2008 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street. Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeff Belt officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
