A funeral service for Viola A. Kanippe, 63 of Newark will be held Thursday February 15, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Decker officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Newport, Tennessee at a later date.Mrs. Kanippe died Monday evening February 12, 2007 at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born September 8, 1943 in Cocke County, Tennessee to the late ?Boss? Lee and Zella (Frazier) Pack.Mrs. Kanippe attended the Church of God ?God?s Acres?. She was a homemaker and a loving mother.Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Kyle L. Kanippe whom she married October 28, 1964; daughters, Ida Ann Kanippe of Newark, Carla (Kanippe) Bryant of Greenville, TN.; son, Kyle F. Kanippe of Newark; five grandchildren, Vivian Brittany Kanippe, Charles R. Brown, Maryanne E. Brown, Melissa E. Brown, Angela C. Brown; great-granddaughter, Natalya O. Brown and aunt, Betty Lovell of Newport, TN.In addition to her parents a sister Velma Pack preceded her in death.Calling hours will be observed Thursday afternoon 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home 1850 West Main Street.
