Timothy W. Mitchell, 66, of Nashport, Ohio died Sunday evening, January 24, 2016 at Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio in Newark, Ohio.
Born November 7, 1949 in Butler, Pennsylvania he was a son of the late John E. and Irene Pearl (Berger) Mitchell and was a graduate of Tri-Valley High School. Tim retired in 2014 with over 40 years of service from Newark Electroplating Company where he was a supervisor. He was a member of the First Church of God in Zanesville, Ohio. He loved sports, especially The Ohio State Buckeyes football and the Cleveland Browns and he enjoyed golfing.
Surviving is his loving wife of 41 years, Yvonne S. (Westbrook) Mitchell whom he married September 7, 1974; two sons, Justin (Tracy) Mitchell of Kansas City, Missouri and Jared (Jessica) Mitchell of Warsaw, Ohio; four grandchildren, Isaiah, Abigail, Kyle and Laura Mitchell; his mother in-law, Marjorie Westbrook of Nashport and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Sherwood Mitchell; two sisters, Libby Bartow and Verdean Mitchell and his father in-law, Dale Westbrook.
Calling hours will be 5pm to 8pm Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 10:30am Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Hanover Cemetery.
