Timothy G. Kirk, 44, of Newark, died Sunday May 1, 2011 at his home following a long battle with diabetes.

He was born November 17, 1966 in Elyria, Ohio, a son of Harold G. Kirk of Reynoldsburg and Joyce Pardue of Jackson, Tennessee. Mr. Kirk was a member of the Christian Life Center and had worked as a credit manager for Rocky Mountain Shoes. A jack of all trades, he was handy with anything from carpentry to electronics and was always interested in athletics. He had played softball with the Delaware Merchants softball team, enjoyed golf, football and was a huge Steelers fan. In addition to athletics, he collected knives and was an accomplished marksmen and found time to enjoy riding his Honda motorcycle.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children, Heath Kirk (serving in the US Army) of San Antonio, Texas, Nisa Cole of Reynoldsburg, Chelsea Kirk of Marysville; his grandfather, Ross Mark (Geneva) Kirk of Newark; his sister and brother, Karolyn (Tony) Kirk-Smith of Jackson, Tennessee, Michael A. Kirk of London, Ohio; his step mother Linda Kirk; step brother and sister, Michael (Mary) Barkacs of Cleveland, Bobbie (Jeff) Wills of Columbus and his best friend, who he regarded as a brother, Scott Looney of Elyria, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Pearl(Mamaw) Kirk.

Friends may call from 11AM-1PM Thursday May 5, 2011 at the Christian Life Center, 665 Linnville Road, Heath, where a funeral service will be held at 1PM with family members Rev. Travis Lloyd Kirk and Rev. James Lloyd Kirk officiating.
