A memorial service for Thomas W. Roberts, 63 of Newark will be held Wednesday December 28, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Doug Swan officiating. A visitation will be observed from 5:00 p.m. until the service.

Tom passed away Wednesday December 14, 2022 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He was born June 16, 1959 in Jonesville, VA to Walter F. and Virginia A. (White) Roberts.

Tom was a dedicated petroleum engineer operating his own firm Operations Consulting Services (OCS). He was a member of the Ohio Oil & Gas Association and American Society of Petroleum Engineers. He attended the Utica Church of Christ.

He was devoted to his family and friends. His activities included being outdoors; camping, fishing on Lake Erie and biking. Other interests were woodworking and he was considered a simi pro trap shooter. He spent countless hours caring for his home landscaping and performing home projects.

Survivors include his wife, Kelly A. (Hicks) Roberts; brother, Ricky (Kathy) Roberts of Pleasant Hill.
