A Celebration of Life Service for Thomas F. Meyers, 74 of Newark will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 19, 2021 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Barbara Salyers officiating. Burial will be in Newark Memorial Gardens.

Tom died Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. He was born December 5, 1946 in Glendale, WV to the late James E. and Wanda L. (Games) Meyers.

A 1964 graduate of Newark High School, Tom retired from Tamarack Farms Dairy after 30 years of service. He was member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Tawney (Rector) Meyers; children, Holly (Avery) Elliott of Atlanta, GA and Jacob (Amanda Stern) Meyers of Chicago, IL; a sister in-law, Kathy Roberts; brothers in-law, Allen Rector and Mark Rector; and several cousins in West Virginia and Arizona.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James E. Meyers.

Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2021 at VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 W. Main St., Newark.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio or First United Methodist Church; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
