FRAZEYSBURG ? Thomas C. Fleming, Jr., 77, of Zanesville, Ohio, died at 5:45pm Saturday, May 24, 2003 at Sunny View Nursing Home, Zanesville. Born August 27, 1925 in Frazeysburg, Ohio, he was the son of the late Thomas C. Fleming, Sr. and Rhoda M. (Lecky) Fleming. Mr. Fleming was a former employee of the McGraw-Edison Company and David Davies Packing Company of Zanesville. He was also a chef in many restaurants. He was an Army veteran of World War II having received five bronze stars and a Purple Heart. He was a Methodist by faith and was a member of both the American Legion and DAV. Surviving is one son, Jack Fleming of Zanesville; two daughters, Dona (Herb) Joseph, and Nancy Lyall, and her special friend, Dick Wilson all of Zanesville; four brothers, Dwight (Betty) Fleming of Midland, Texas, Carl (Mary) Fleming and Don (Pat) Fleming, both of Zanesville, and James (Bev) Fleming of Marne, Ohio; three sisters, Norma Fleming, Rhoda Reed and Clara Morin, all of Frazeysburg; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, three brothers, William, Asa and Walter Fleming preceded him in death. Calling hours will be 6 to 9pm Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 Third Street, Frazeysburg, Ohio. Private graveside burial will be at a later date in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
