David Tyson
June 23, 1937 – June 27, 2024
Thomas David Tyson, aged 87, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2024, at his home in Stuart, Florida. He was born on June 23, 1937, to Roland and Clara (Thomas) Tyson in Coshocton, Ohio. He was 1955 graduate of West Lafayette High School. He attended Moler Barber College in Cleveland, Ohio and remained in the business until his retirement sixty years later. He was married to Isabel Tyson, they shared 50 years of marriage together.
Tom was a member of the Frazeysburg United Methodist Church. He loved being outdoors and having a project. He restored airplanes, boats and antique farm tractors. Tom was a private pilot, a hospice volunteer in Muskingum County, Ohio, a Mason of Frazeysburg Lodge, a member of Frazeysburg Lions Club and a volunteer firefighter for Frazeysburg Fire-Rescue.
He is survived by his daughter, Dr. Vicki (Gary) Shaver, of Palm City, Florida and his stepdaughter, Pamela (Michael) Sowers, of Titusville, Florida, and has grandchildren and great grandchildren in Florida, California, Massachusetts and Virginia.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Tyson, and son, Michael D. Tyson.
A memorial service for Tom will be 1:00 pm Friday, October 18, 2024 at Frazeysburg Cemetery with Minister Sam Dunn officiating.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice.
