FRAZEYSBURG ? A funeral service for Theda Herbert, 84 of Frazyesburg, will be held on Saturday May 7, 2004 at 11:00 AM in the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in Perryton Cemetery. Mrs. Herbert died Wednesday morning at Newark Healthcare Centre. She was born August 6, 1919 in Paris, Ohio to the late Thomas and Mable (Hahn) Leggett. Mrs. Herbert was a member of the Perryton United Methodist Church, and for many years a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Sherrodsville, Ohio. Mrs. Herbert was a homemaker, and enjoyed camping. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Paul T. Herbert, whom she married March 19, 1938; four grandchildren, Jo (Phillip) Painter of Frazeysburg, Edna (Rick) Frey of Newark, Paul (Bobbie) Willey of Frazeysburg, Jim (Sherry) Willey of Dresden; three brothers, Walden Leggett of Goshen, Bob (Bettie) Leggett of Sherrodsvile, Joe (Margaret) Leggett of Montana; a sister, Kay (Charlie) McKinney of Dover; seven great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Jo Welsh; brothers, Jack, Max, Dale, and Paul Leggett; a sister, Roberta Renicker; and a great great grandson, Jacob Trusler. Calling hours will be from 6-9PM Friday evening at the funeral home, 110 Third Street, Frazeysburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the Perryton United Methodist Church or to the Calvary United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
