FRAZEYSBURG ? Sylvester E. Lauvray, 76, of Dresden, Ohio died Saturday morning, March 31, 2007 at Licking Memorial Hospital, Newark, Ohio. Born November 1, 1931 in Otsego, Ohio, he was the son of the late Francis and Rachel (Guilliams) Lauvray. Mr. Lauvray was a farmer and he was a retired foreman with Clow Water Systems of Coshocton. He was Christian by faith. Surviving is his wife, Hazel L. (Reed) Lauvray, whom he married November 24, 1951; one son and daughter in-law, Wayne and Vickey Lauvray of Adams Mills, Ohio; two sisters, Marie Kelly of West Lafayette, Ohio and Ruth Norris of Coshocton, Ohio; six grandchildren, Christopher (Stefanie) Lauvray of Westerville, Ohio, Kristina (Donnie) Cutshall of Coshocton, Matthew (Jennifer) Lauvray of Somerset, Ohio, Eric (Natasha) Lauvray and Brian (Jessica) Lauvray, both of Newark and Todd Lauvray of Dresden; six great grandchildren, Rachel, Devan, Caleb, Wyatt, Addylynn and Brianna; his mother in-law, Leanna B. Reed of Newark; a daughter in-law, Lucia Lauvray of Dresden; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Steven E. Lauvray, who died November 14, 2004 and a brother, Walter Lauvray. Calling hours will be 6 to 8pm Monday, April 2, 2007 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
