FRAZEYSBURG â?? Summer Louanne Conklin, 15, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Thursday afternoon, May 27, 2010 at Nationwide Childrenâ??s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Although Summer has been battling Leukemia for over a year, her death was unexpected.
Born April 12, 1995 in Zanesville, Ohio, she was the daughter of Robert J. â??BJâ? Conklin of Frazeysburg and Autumn Hastings Conklin, of Dresden. Ms. Conklin was a 9th grade student at Tri-Valley High School. She enjoyed doing artwork and drawing, as well as playing computer games, watching movies and visiting with her friends on Facebook.
Surviving in addition to her parents is a brother, Tyler Conklin of Frazeysburg, her paternal grandmother, Sally Conklin of Frazeysburg; her maternal grandparents, Robert and Roxanne Wagner of Frazeysburg and Pete Hastings of Adamsville, Ohio. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Calling hours will be 5 to 8pm Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 8:30pm Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Mesnard officiating.
