Sue E. Nethers, 84, of Toboso, Ohio passed away peacefully Thursday morning June 8, 2023, at The Inn at Sharon Brooke in Newark.
Born November 17, 1938, in Springfield, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur & Evelyn (Saunders) Street and was a 1956 graduate of Hanover-Toboso High School. She retired as a Quality Assurance Inspector for Diebold Inc. Sue was a faithful follower of Christ and most recently attended the Toboso United Methodist Church. She was a past Worthy Matron of Hanover Chapter #220 Ohio Eastern Star, a tour coordinator for several bus trips across the country, and a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved to camp, travel, bike, and walk but what she loved most was spending time with her family.
Surviving are her four children, Natalie Nethers, of Aurora Colorado, Craig (Diana) Nethers, Jennifer (Robert) Flowers, and Travis (Melanie) Nethers, all of the Licking Valley area; her grandchildren, Amanda, Nate, Rebekah, Adam, Kasey, Martha, Brooke, Chad, Caleb, Kailey, Tyler, Cole, Blake, Elizabeth, Vincent, and Sydney; great-grandchildren, Katherine, Evelyn, Jakob, and Carter; sister, Janis (Robert) Shultz; brother, Robert (Cindy) Street, sister-in-law Jackie Nethers, brother-in-law Doug Nethers, and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Terry Nethers, whom she married on July 27, 1957, a daughter-in-law, Bobbie Matthews, brother-in-law Melvin Nethers, and a sister-in-law Karen Nethers, and a special group of friends.
Friends and Family may call from 2pm to 4pm Sunday, June 11, 2023, at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, June 12, 2023, at the funeral home with Pastor Chuck Horsley officiating.
Sue will be buried next to her husband, Terry, in Hanover Cemetery.
