Steven R. ?Steve? Milstead, 56, of Norwich, died Thursday morning Janaury 3, 2008 following a six month illness. He was born March 4, 1951 in Zanesville and was a 1970 graduate of Tri-Valley High School. A heavy equipment operator, he had retired from Peabody Coal, was a member of the United Mine Workers, Operating Engineer Boilermaker and had attended Fairview Community Church in Adamsville. Surviving are his mother, Verlah ?Jonny? (Reed) Milstead of Zanesville; son, Damon (Heather) Milstead of Zanesville; daughter, Stephanie (Craig) Barnhouse of Blue Rock; four grandchildren, Madelynn, Dylan, Emma and Cameron; brother, Howdy (Gina) Milstead of Zanesville; sisters, Becky (Tom) Denton of Zanesville, Karen (Richard) Harding of Adamsville, Robin Milstead of Zanesville and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Howard Addison Milstead.
