Steven Craig Brennen, 73, of Dresden, died Sunday evening June 7, 2026, at his home, surrounded by family.
Born March 29, 1953, in Coshocton, Ohio to the late Max E. and Marjorie J. (Cox) Brennen and a 1971 graduate of Tri-Valley High School. Steve was a self-employed electrician and an United States Army National Guard Veteran. In the guard Steve was a refrigeration specialist, generator repairman, and automotive repair. Steve was studying natural resources working towards his forestry degree prior to signing up to serve our country. He always loved the trees and outdoors, hunting, searching for arrowheads, and Indian artifacts.
Surviving is three children, Emily Brennen, Elizabeth (Craig) Swingle, and Nathan (Maggie) Brennen; three grandchildren, Hannah, Matthew, and Jackson; two step grandchildren, Evan and Emma; two nephews and a niece, Jerod, Kevin and Jessica; and a close cousin, Judy Jones.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Carolyn Hindel, Michael Brennen and Lori Brennen; a nephew, Jeremy Brennen and a niece, Leandra D. Leffel.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am, Monday, June 15, 2026, at the Dresden Cemetery with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating.
