A funeral service celebrating the life of Steven R. Angle, 69 of Hebron will be 11:00 a.m. October 4, 2021 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in Kirkersville Cemetery.
Mr. Angle died unexpectedly Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born August 3, 1952 in Columbus, OH to Jack R. and Naomi Faye (Watson) Angle.
A loving husband, father and grandfather, Steve's family meant the world to him; he loved them more than anything. Steve enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing with his grandchildren. He was a member of Hebron Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include his mother, Faye Angle; his loving wife, Gynette (Browning) Angle; daughter in-law, Melanie Angle; a son, Tim Rarick; grandchildren, Xander Angle, Jace Peugh, Mya Angle, Hayden Rarick, Alea Rarick, and Aubrianna Rarick; brothers, Robert (Pat) Angle, Danny (Debbie) Angle, Tim Angle; sisters, Lynette (Jim) Hunley, Angie Bankes, Jackie Clagg, Karen (Matt) Cleveland, Lori Angle, and Mary (Mike) Worthingon; and a special sister in-law, Georgann (Danny) Cook.
Steve was preceded in death by his father; his son, Jerad R. Angle; his in-laws, George and Helen Browning; brothers, Larry Angle and Donald Angle.
Friends and family may call 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, October 3, 2021 at VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 W. Main St., Newark.

Our family would like to extend a special thanks to Mechelle (Erik) McKee for always being there for us. And special thanks also to Jeremiah Hanzey of Stained Skin for the amazing tattoos; Steve was so proud of the tattoo Jeremiah recently did for him of Jerad.
