Obituary

FRAZEYSBURG ? Steve Whyde, 61, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Tuesday evening, October 6, 2009 at his home. Born April 4, 1948 in Newark, Ohio, he was the son of the late Floyd O. and Mary A. (Lindell) Whyde and was a 1967 graduate of Tri-Valley High School. Mr. Whyde was an Army veteran of the Viet Nam War and he attended Meadow View Church of Christ in Frazeysburg. He was a former employee of Englefield Oil Company and was a former member of the Frazeysburg Volunteer Fire Department. Surviving is a sister, Delores ?Peanut? (Bill) Wisecarver of Frazeysburg; a brother, Tom Whyde of Frazeysburg; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Also surviving are his special friends, Cathy Snyder, Betty Gary, Bobbie Jo King, Bobbie Hardesty, David ?Tiny? Slaughter and Eric Householder and many other good friends and neighbors. Calling hours will be 5 to 8pm Thursday, October 8, 2009 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 Third Street. Funeral services will be 10:00am Friday, October 9, 2009 at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeff Belt officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery with Wakatomika Post 6193, VFW conducting military honors.
