A funeral service for Stardis K. Hullhorst, 44 of Newark will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday November 6, 2007 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Jeff Smith officiating. Stardis died unexpectedly Friday November 2, 2007 at her residence. She was born August 7, 1963 in Newark to Dick and Darla (Fluharty) Thompson. She graduate form Newark High School in 1981 and was employed by Licking County Job and Family Services. Stardis was a gracious, generous, loving person. Her concern for others was evident in all she did. She enjoyed knitting and cross stitching and loved country music. In addition to her parents, Stardis is survived by two sons, Bradley and Nicholas Hullhorst, both of the home; a brother, Rob (Mandy) Thompson of Newark; a sister, Windy (Pat) Murphy of Newark; aunts, Sue Thompson of Newark, Fran (Don) Tolliver of Newark, Doris (Dick) Ward of Georgia; nieces and nephews, Rich, Brandon and Jenny Thompson, Landon and A.J. Murphy; her friend and the father of her children, Tom Hullhorst of Frazeysburg; and life-long friend Suzie Baker of West Lafayette. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Monday November 5, 2007 at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark. Memorial contributions may be made to the Homeward Bound Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
