Shirley J. Untied, 93, formerly of Frazeysburg, OH, died Christmas morning, December 25, 2024, at Luxe Rehabilitation and Care Center in Lancaster, Ohio.

Born October 6, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Alfred Howard & Helen Wona Ruth (Farley) Goddard.  Shirley used to attend the Salvation Army and continued to support them when she was no longer able to attend in person.  She collected Fenton and Heisey Glassware.  Shirley took great pride in keeping her house exceptionally clean.  She enjoyed visiting with friends and getting to know new ones.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Curtis Williams of Frazeysburg, Ohio, Shawna Sharrock of Newark, Ohio, Jesse (Zack) Ogle of Idaho, and Cassy "Becky" (Nicholas Bowe) Jensen of Dalton, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Elbert L. Untied whom she married October 10, 1949, and who died February 16, 1993; her daughters, Herberta Untied and Brenda (Mike) Williams and thirteen siblings.

Friends and family may call from 11am to NOON on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Homes, 110 West Third Street.

A graveside service will be 12:00pm Tuesday, December 31, 2024.

Shirley will be laid to rest beside her husband, Elbert, and her daughter, Herberta, in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
