Shirley Ann Thomas, 78, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Saturday morning, July 27, 2013 at her home.
Born July 3, 1935 in Frazeysburg she was a daughter of the late Milo and Leona (Smith) Wisecarver. Mrs. Thomas was a graduate of Frazeysburg High School and the Meredith Business College. She retired in 1996 after many years of services as a secretary for the City of Zanesville. Shirley was a member of Frazeysburg Presbyterian Church and was previously a member of Muskingum Presbyterian Church. She was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star and she enjoyed golfing.
Surviving are two sons, Howard E. "Tom" Thomas and his wife, Karen Osborn of Blue Rock, Ohio and Timothy S. Thomas of Zanesville; one daughter, Vicki L. Paech of Nashport; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a brother, Michael (Flora) Wisecarver of Frazeysburg and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Daphne Jo Thomas, who died November 13, 1981; a granddaughter, Heather Dian Brocklehurst; a sister, Evadel Hoffman and a sister in-law, Monika Wisecarver.
There will be no calling hours.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, August 2, 2013 at Muskingum Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Gorsuch Road, Nashport.
