Shirley (Siegle) Kirk, 89 of Newark passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Sharon Brooke Assisted Living.

Shirley was born December 6, 1933 in Newark to George and Pearl "Jackie" (Barrick) Siegle.

She loved playing Bingo, completing puzzle books, reading, watching movies and going to yard sales. She enjoyed hosting yearly yard sales.

She is a proud mother of Melody (Donald) Kiger, Paul (Sherry) Kirk, Dale (Becky) Kirk, Bruce (Margot) Kirk; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; sister, Jane Whiteside; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Paul V. Kirk; daughter, Brenda Kirk; twin great-grandsons, Brantley and Bently Kirk; sisters, Barbara Winegardner, Marilyn (Gene) Tucker; brothers, John, Robert, Larry "Butch", George "Donald", Danny Siegle; brother-in-law, Jim Whiteside.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2023 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home 1850 West Main Street with Chaplain Mark Pierce officiating. Burial will be in Newark Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be observed from 11 am until the service at the funeral home.
