Shirley Yvonne Ashcraft

Shirley Y. Ashcraft, 87, of Mt. Vernon, Ohio died Thursday afternoon, January 22, 2026, at the Country Club Retirement Campus in Mt. Vernon.

Born October 5, 1938, in Frazeysburg, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Howard and Virginia J. (Conner) Ashcraft and a 1956 graduate of Union High School. Shirley was a Christian by faith and a self-employed antique dealer. She enjoyed watching professional wrestling and reading.

Surviving is her uncle, Paul Blizzard; many cousins, Robert (Carolyn) Gault, Dusty (Frank) Stare, Tonda Snoey, Carol Ann (Bernie) Johnson, Pam (Brian) Kemmenoe, Chris Montgomery, Bev (Greg) Henry, Dave (Mary) Lashley, Jeff (Tonya) Gault, and Stephanie (Scott) DelliGatti; friends, Roberta Stevens, Nancy Myers, Sharon Slone, James (Patty) Sturgeon and very special friends, Vicki and Richard Littleton.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil | Wagner | Marshall Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street with Dave Mason officiating.

Shirley will be laid to rest in Frazeysburg Cemetery beside her parents.
