Sherlie A. Cordray, 79, of Dresden, died at 10:38PM Saturday November 28, 2009 at Summerville at North Hills. Mrs. Cordray was born December 18, 1929 in Trinway, a daughter of the late Blake and Florence (Lacy) McFarland. She was a 1947 graduate of Jefferson High School, a former member of the O.E.S. in Dresden and a member of the Trinway U. Methodist Church. Surviving are a brother, Larry (Sue) McFarland of Dresden; a nephew, Steven McFarland; nieces, Lisa Kroft, Jennifer Perito, Stephanie McFarland, Tami Galion, Diana Williams and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Cordray on December 10, 1986; they had married May 28, 1947; a brother, Robert Blake McFarland and a sister, Gloria Pairan. Friends may call 2-4PM & 6-8PM Tuesday December 1, 2009 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, where services will be held on Wednesday at 11AM with Pastor Sharon Williamson officiating.
