Shawn D. McClellan, 49, of Toboso died Monday evening, December 19, 2016 at the emergency room of Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark, Ohio.

Born August 16, 1967 in Newark he was a son of the late David J. McClellan and Shirley J. (Bucklew) McClellan of Toboso and he was a 1986 graduate of Licking Valley High School. He was a former glass inspector at Holophane of Newark with 16 years of service. Shawn was a member of Toboso United Methodist Church. He loved farming, deer hunting, hitching up the horses to buggy ride and he was a huge Cleveland Indians fan. He also loved kids and his Toboso church family.

Surviving in addition to his mother is one brother, Shane McClellan of Toboso; a sister, Dawn McClellan of Toboso and his special friends, P. J., Patty and Marty Negele of Newark and the Chapman family of Toboso. Also surviving are his dogs, "Lucy" and "Radar".
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a sister, Tawn McClellan; his grandparents, Ray and Nadine Bucklew and Lindsay and Ada McClellan.

The McClellan family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Mark Mitchell and Dr. Dan Evans for the care given to Shawn and to his friends at Holophane for all their generosity.
There will be no calling hours.

A celebration of Shawn's life will be held at a later date.
