Seth Michael West, 33, of Mt. Perry, Ohio died Wednesday evening, November 16, 2022 near his home, after being struck by an automobile while riding his bicycle.

Born March 12, 1989 in Zanesville, Ohio he is the son of Tracy Wolford Hickman of Coshocton, Ohio and Kevin B. (Carla) West of Zanesville.  Seth was a 2007 graduate of West Muskingum High School.  He was a former employee of the Nestle/Purina Pet Food Company of Zanesville and had worked at several other companies over the years.  Seth enjoyed working and was quite a handyman, doing odd jobs to help his friends and neighbors.  He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and BMX biking.  He also loved animals, especially dogs and he loved music and playing his guitar.  Seth was a baptized Christian and spent much time reading his Bible.

Surviving in addition to his mother and father, are two brothers, Colton Hickman of Zanesville and Chandler Hickman of Piedmont, South Carolina; his paternal grandmother, Shirley West of Zanesville; an uncle, Keith West of Blue Rock, Ohio and several other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Seth was preceded in death by his sister, Sara Christine West, who died February 14, 1993; his maternal grandparents, Harold Wolford and Barbara Wolford and his paternal grandfather, Monty West.

Calling hours will be 4pm to 7pm Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at the funeral home with Pastor Aaron Bounds officiating.  Seth will be laid to rest beside his sister, Sara, in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
