FRAZEYSBURG ? A celebration of life for Sandy E. Ashcraft, 71, of Nashport, Ohio will be at 6:30pm Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at the Marne United Methodist Church, 1019 Licking Valley Road, NE, Newark, Ohio with the Rev. Gus Christobaker officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery. Mrs. Ashcraft died Friday evening, May 9, 2008 at the Newark Health Care Centre. Born February 5, 1937 in Lancaster, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Glenn and Mrs. Alberta (Viedt) Biddle and was a 1956 graduate of Newark High School. She was employed by Newark Health Care Centre for 17 years as a receptionist. Mrs. Ashcraft was a member of the Marne United Methodist Church. Sandy?s life was fulfilled and enriched with God?s love and his grace. Surviving is her husband, Ray E. Ashcraft, whom she married November 2, 1956; two sons, Chester Ashcraft of Pasadena, Texas and Jeffrey Ashcraft of Palm Springs, California; one daughter, Tami Ashcraft of Nashport; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one brother, Alan (Sharon) Biddle of Indianapolis, Indiana; an aunt, Caryl Biddle of Leesburg, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kenny Ashcraft. Sandy?s family wants to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of Newark Health Care Centre and Hospice of Central Ohio. Each provided such wonderful care and comfort in Sandy?s end of life days. And to Sheri Webb, her guardian angel while at Newark Heath Care, many thanks.
